Our Company

Delicia, S.A. launched its operations in 1980. We are a company dedicated to growing and exporting purees of diferent tropical fruits. Our succes is a result of our compromise to produce superior high quality fruit products such as juice, crush and puree.

A high percentage of the fruit used to process our products comes from our plantations. Our mango and pink guava plantations are located in the areas of Escuintla and Santa Rosa, 130 kilometers south from Guatemala City. Pineaple used in our process comes from one of the major production areas, which is located 20 kilometers south of our processing plant. Fresh bananas are coming from farms established in the south and the pacific coast of Guatemala.

Our fruit is exported partly fresh, although a greater segment is processed into an aseptic mango puree. All the fruit we process comes from farmers that we supervise.

Throughout the years we have selected the best producers, as well as the best areas of the country to control and advance fruit harvest.

Our farm is located in Guazacapán, Santa Rosa, 130 kilometers south-west from Guatemala City, and our processing and packing plant is located only 22 kilometers from Guatemala City.

Through the years we have selected the best varieties of fruit for the processing and production of mango puree. Our experience as mango growers is renowned in Guatemala and Central America.


Guava

After seven years of tests, observation and selection we finally found a variety of Guava with the best qualities to be processed as a puree. The variety we chose has a purple-pink pulp and a sweet flavor,  and intense bouquet.

Mangoes
Guatemala is a country dedicated mainly to agriculture, and enjoys a diversity of climates. In addition to the variety of mangoes internationally known, there are several varieties native to Guatemala. We chose one of these varieties, which we called "Criollo Delicia".

This variety of mango, has excellent organoleptic characteristics, distinct and unique in its kind whit a single strengt brix range of 20-22.

Its natural pH is below 4.2, making is acidification unnecessary. Besides the "Criollo Delicia" variety, we also produce the "Tommy Atkins" mango puree and some small quantities of puree coming from "Mamey" variety

   
Pineapple
We are currently processing diferent types of products such as juice, crush and different pulp sizes purees, all of them packed as single strength products. We can offer these products all year made from Smooth Cayene and / or MD2 variety.

Banana
This is our latest project started in 2006. It is a product that is also processed all year long since fresh high quality bananas are always available in Guatemala. Tha banana puree variety produced is Cavendish.
