Our Quality Control

Delicia, S.A. works with a strict processing system to satisfy "DUE DILIGENCE" requirements from its customers. All our fruit is left to ripen on the trees and is harvested at the best time to obtain unsurpassed quality of mature fruit. After the harvest, the fruit is transported to our processing  plant in our own trucks.

Each year, the company produces a program to determine what chemicals should be used in every step of production. A group of trained agronomists is responsible for sanitary maintenance of farming and harvest procedures. All our fruit is left to ripen on the trees and is harvested at the best time to obtain unsurpassed quality of mature fruit. After the harvest, the fruit is transported from our farm to our processing plant in our own trucks.

Delicia has been certified IRMA/SGF which is currently considered a model to be followeb by the global market of beverages. GMP and HACCP system are at our processing facilities implemented. Delicia, S.A. meets also the standards to produce and process KOSHER certified products.

Regardless of the size, each lot of fruit is received in our procesing facilities where is given an identification number wich is used for every single step throughout the entire process. Each packaging unit procesed at our facilities has a full traceability data available to be checked.

All records of quality control: in-take, on-line, and dispatch show the same i.d. number, which allows us to locate a lot from the farm the produce came from.

Our company has been certified as a provider by Schutzgemeinschaft der Fruchtsaft industrie EV-SGF by the "voluntary control system". Inspectors from SGF routinely visit our plant during the processing season.
.

In order to maintain additional control of all our batches, we keep a representative sample of every product shipment.

Our labs conduct constant analyses and revisions of the following variables of our produce:

  • Brix degrees

  • pH

  • Relation between Brix and acidity
    (Brix to Acid Ratio)

In addition to these routine tests, we hire independent certified labs to conduct complete microbiological tests.
